A pressure vessel is a closed source that is used to keep gases or liquids at a pressure very different from the ambient pressure. Theoretically, these tanks can have almost any shape, but the most common ones are spherical, cylindrical and conical. The common design of pressure vessels is in the form of a cylinder with caps called caps, which are often hemispherical or lens shaped. According to the ASME Sec VIII standard, pressure vessels are those whose internal pressure is between 15 psi and 3000 psi.
